Sodom Vienna

Denice Bourbon & Gin Müller’s SODOM VIENNA (2020-2023) is an artistic and political project that combines art and activism to promote a message. It offers a unique perspective on the achievements of Red Vienna in the 1920s, focusing on creating a utopian and inclusive future.

The production collective behind SODOM VIENNA hosts events, parties, and programs that aim to promote queer-feminist and anti-racist values. The core of their work is to re-imagine a utopian Red Vienna, inspired by the radical movements of the early 20th century.

Magna Mater, also known as Santa Sodom Vienna, represents the spirit of care in Vienna during the 1920s. Today, SODOM VIENNA seeks to portray Vienna as a city that embraces diversity, feminism, and anti-racism.

The performers of SODOM VIENNA embody red gender players who challenge societal norms through their interventions and performances. This collective brings together artists, scholars, and activists to create provocative and engaging events that bring back the spirit of the 1920s.

Through political manifestations, processions, revues, and circus spectacles, SODOM VIENNA aims to create a space where activism and art converge to inspire change and celebrate the diversity of Vienna.
